For the Whimsical Bride. . .7/9/11

On August 18th Anthropologie will open a store in Houston's Highland Village dedicated solely to a bride's special day. And while BHLDN will carry everything from wedding gowns, to bridesmaids party dresses, DIY crafts items, centerpieces, candles, votive holders, table settings, head adornments, jewelry, shoes, bridal lingerie, handbags, decorations, ribbons, place cards, hand tags, garland, party favors. glassware, keepsakes, gifts for the wedding party and accessories, one thing is certain, these brides will have all the whimsy of the quintessential Anthropologie girl :)
A soft dress of tulle and lace for a soft bride.
A jeweled bodice is the perfect juxtaposition for these flirty layers.
Silk taffeta, ruching and pomp. . .
Not every bride wears white. . .this is perfect for the Spring and Summer bride who truly wants to stand out.
A pop of dramatic color for the elegant bride.
This sweet bridesmaid dress really CAN be worn again!
As can this fabulous gown!
This bubble-bottom party dress demands some bubbly in hand!
I love the print for a bridesmaid dress. . .whoever said your attendants had to play it safe and solid?!
And if the print and style don't make enough of a statement for the bride's closest gal pals, how about a fun and flirty fascinator atop those pretty loose locks?
The lucky groom will love this and you'll feel like a princess wearing it! So sexy and elegant!
Not into the long veil? Try a small one circa 1950.
This fascinator is divine. Looks like BHLDN took a look straight out of royal wedding party attire.
This headpiece is incredible! If I were getting married again THIS would be on top of my head!! I'm IN LOVE!!!
Something blue? Don't be boring - try this beautiful purse, add a splash of color and make a stylish statement at the reception.
Your not-so-typical wedding pearls. . .bet your momma didn't wear this??!
This cuff would be beautiful on a bride but how about making this your bridesmaid's gift and having all the attendants wear it?
The most important rule of wedding attire for the reception is comfortable shoes. . .well, comfortable and beautiful that is. . .
Like these!! OMG!! What I really love about these (aside from everything) is that they go straight from wedding dress to wedding lingerie ;)
A sweet place card
Or a vintage one?
Some colorful votive candle holders for a wedding reception or a rehearsal dinner. . .or a bridal luncheon. . .so many options and possibilities.
These are gorgeous!! Maybe after the wedding they can find a home in the newlywed's new love nest??
And the icing on the cake? A precious and unique cake topper for the lovebirds :)

I enjoyed reading this post and I want you to know that I am glad that you keep me updated on the stores and boutiques in Houston, since there is none of that here :( (no, not even an Anthropologie). My fashion side is always wondering what is going on out there and reading your blog helps this ;) I love Anthropologie and remember shopping there, now I just wait till Atlanta or Houston trips for that and then it is so busy that it is rare that I can make it. Can't wait to go to BHLDN to see the dresses and feel the fabrics!

Love and miss you, Vick
